Counselors to America's Small Business

The SCORE Association, headquartered in Washington, D.C.,  is a nonprofit association dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth and success of small business nationwide.

  • SCORE's public service mission is to provide face-to-face and e-mail business counseling to help small businesses evaluate plans, stabilize, grow, innovate and succeed.

  • SCORE is composed of 10,500 volunteer business mentors who donate over 1 million hours of service annually.

  • SCORE counselors are both working and retired.

  • SCORE served 360,000 people last year from 389 chapter offices throughout the country

  • SCORE's local chapters provide free counseling and low-cost workshops in their communities.

  • SCORE helped expand small business opportunities last year by providing more than 501,961 services to Americans throughout the country.

  • SCORE counselors helped 20,000 new businesses create 25,000 jobs last year.

  • SCORE was founded in 1964.

Seacoast Chapter 185 is located in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.  It is composed of many dedicated and successful business men and women eager to offer their advice and counsel to budding entrepreneurs.  Explore our options of Face-to-Face or E-mail counseling and get started on your future.
